THE SECRET TO LOW CARB SUCCESS!

Here is the perfect adjunct to the successful low carbohydrate diets that have taken—and continue to take—America by storm. For dieters whose weight loss is “stalled,” who are “slow losers” or who just want to make their dieting effort as effective as possible, registered nurse and health care administrator Laura Richard, presents down-to-earth advice taken from dieters themselves as to what works, what doesn’t and what they can do to speed or restart their weight loss.

The Secret To Low Carb Success! presents cutting edge information on every major currently popular low carbohydrate. A complement, not a substitute, for these popular diets, it compares the diets, details how to avoid the traps and pitfalls of each, and explains how to get maximum benefits from them. Featuring true stories from low carb dieters, the book summarizes down-to-earth advice given by thousands of experienced reduced-carbohydrate veterans, as well as a resource section featuring an extensive list of relevant books, cookbooks, discussion groups, web sites and newsletters. The purpose of The Secret To Low Carb Success! is not to explain the science of this type of dieting, but rather the mechanics of it and is filled with advice on how to live with a low carb diet every day until it becomes second nature.

In The Secret To Low Carb Success! Laura Richard tells dieters—

  • that there are overlooked sources of carbohydrates such as artificial sweeteners, cheese, eggs and “sugar free” foods, ketchup, garlic powder, and milk (yes, skim, too)
  • that the ubizuitous “ose” ingredients are disguised sugars, a source of carbohydrates found frequently in sugar free products, and hide behind names such as fructose, dextrose, xylose, saccharose and sucrose
  • how caffeine, alcohol and salt can slow weight loss
  • that drinking a lot of water will increase and speed up weight loss
  • why sodas and many other soft drinks contribute to stalls
  • and much more!

Excerpt from Laura Richard’s Web site, http://www.lowcarbsuccess.net:

In 1999, I read the shocking statistics put out by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that changed my life. The obesity rates in the US had grown to the point that 60% of all Americans were overweight despite falling rates of fat consumption! Finally, it occurred to me that high carbohydrate, low fat diets do not work! 1999 was the year I began low carbohydrate dieting.

After 2 years of low carbohydrate dieting, I am now back down to the size 8-10 that I was in 1987! While I am achieving the results I always hoped for, I found that it took quite a bit of trial and error to get to this point. Low carbohydrate dieting was a drastic change from the high carbohydrate dieting that I had practiced for almost 15 years. I had a long learning curve to get to the point in which I learned how to truly be successful. By incorporating all that I learned into my book, Low Carb Success I am hoping to assist you and others in achieving the same wonderful results that I achieved in a shorter time period.
